John David McWherter Named Varsity Girls’ Basketball Head Coach for 2024-25: The athletic department at Pioneer Junior-Senior High School has officially named John David McWherter the varsity girls’ basketball head coach for the 2024-25 winter sports season. Coach McWherter served as a varsity girls’ basketball assistant coach at PJSHS in 2023-24 and was the head varsity girls’ basketball coach at Pioneer Jr-Sr High School from 2011 to 2015. Mr. McWherter has another sixteen years of coaching boys’ basketball experience at various levels for the Pioneer Regional School Corporation.
